This post contains a bit of bragging so please bare with me. He he he :)
Last night, I met up with my two good friends who were my former officemates. We had dinner at KFC in Mandaue City. We did a lot of catching up with each others lives. After all, one of my friend, Niña just got back from bohol and we haven't seen her like for 3 months. So it was nice to finally have a get-together with the two of my closest friends.
So during the course of our lively conversation, my friend Naomi butted in and shifted to a different topic. It was really not what I expected. She told me that a lot of our former employees have been asking her how I'm doing or where I am working now. They said that they missed seeing me and my smile. They also missed the jolly atmosphere that I bought whenever I was around them. It made me blush. It made me feel "kilig" at the thought that I made a good impact with those guys. Naomi also told me that there was this incident that happened last week where the new HR and one of the warehouseman of my previous company had an argument. Voices started to rise and it was evident in the office that that argument will lead into a big conflict. So before it got worse, Naomi instructed the warehouseman to keep his cool and to stop arguing with the HR. He agreed but before he left the office, he said (in bisaya), "When Ms. Amor was the HR, I never had problems like this." All I could say was, "Awwwww.. :)" Okay, so that wasn't really a good remark considering the new HR was being compared to me. But I can't help but smile over what he said. It just shows how well I worked with different kinds of people.
Naomi told me a lot of things but I better keep it to myself so as not to boost my ego. But I have this to say: Thank you to the people of IB who believed in me and appreciated the way I worked. Thank you to those people who still think of me even after I'm separated from the company for almost a year now. Thank you to the drivers, warehouseman, helpers, masons, carpenters, welders, foremen, engineers, designers and purchasers who gave me one of the best working experiences in my whole life. Thank you to everyone who made my stay in IB worthwhile. If not for the "ugly" attitude of the management, I would have opted to stay. But I really enjoyed my stay.
I'll see you soon IB people. Thank you again.
